Thanks to our friends at Slazenger UK we’ve got an exclusive first look at their new 2012 range.

First up are the bats, an evolutionary advance on their 2011 range. Their main innovation and cosmetic change is the all new OctoPlus grip, a grip which offers increased grip for the top hand and extra cushioning for the bottom hand. It also looks great and sets off the graphics really well.

New Slazenger V100 Bat - Used by Paul Collingwood and Jimmy Anderson

The V100 is developed for players who demand an ultra lightweight bat for destructive precision. The concave back spine reduces weight and improves pickup, further improving the manoeuvrability for all round stroke play.

New Slazenger V200 Bat - Used by Jacques Kallis and Tim Bresnan

The V200 offers a lowered middle combined with a balanced pickup to give the optimum balance of power and control.

New Slazenger V360 Bat - Used by Eoin Morgan and David Miller

The V360 is Slazenger’s high middled addition to the range and has been developed to offer all round improvised shot making, hence the 360 name. The high sweet spot gives an ultra light pickup allowing the batsman to adapt quickly to each delivery.

New Slazenger V500 Bat - Used by Matt Prior and Dale Steyn

The V500 features a massive profile, thanks in part to the ‘power channel’ scoops. It’s our personal favourite for looks and profile.
