We’ve posted a number of preview pics of the Mongoose range for 2012 over the past few weeks, but the wait is now over. Official photography has today hit our inbox and we’re able to share with you the full bat range.

The ToRQ is 2012′s new addition to the stable and is a full length blade with a minature sized splice. The theory is it gives a couple more inches of hitting area. The shape of the ToRQ is bowed and has a mid placed middle. The CoR3 has also had a slight facelift for 2012 with an all new profile, the photos don’t quite show it off but it’s a very low middle with a spine running all the way through to the toe. One to check out at your nearest ‘Goose stockist.

The prices have been jigged slightly, with a new ‘Prime’ grade of bat added to the 3 previous grades. We expect to see the Prime retailing in stores at just over £100 – making the MMi3 a viable 2nd bat for when you have midday T20′s.

Mongoose’s range is strong albeit perhaps not as ‘wow’ as when it hit the scene 2 years ago. The ToRQ should appeal to most and is certainly up there with the Gray Nicolls Scoop, Salix Strike & GM Halo as one of our favourite 2012 bats.

The full range should hit Mongoosecricket.com over the next coming days, so keep checking.
