Yuvraj Singh announced as Puma’s latest new signing
Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh was on Tuesday named as the latest signing for Puma, joining stars such as Brendon McCullum, Craig Kieswetter and Adam Gilchrist. Yuvi is Puma’s biggest foray into the Indian player market since Sourav Ganguly briefly used the brand in 2007.
A press confrence also took place in Mumbai to announce the signing along with a social media campaign revolving around Twitter, where hype was built by using a #love12 hashtag.
Yuvraj commented at the event:
“A brand like Puma needs no introduction. It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to be associated with them. For me, joy and passion are the most important elements of cricket and this drives me to continually improve myself as a cricketer and as a person. Puma shares these same values and I am looking forward to this alliance.”
We’re yet to see which bat Yuvi will be using, but with India test matches coming up shortly we’re sure to find out.
