Last week, Gray Nicolls released a video of, England international, Alistair Cook having a go at making a bat at their Robertsbridge headquarters under the watchful eye of head batmaker John Gasson.

Although Cook’s attempt was a little rough around the edges, towards the end of the video he is seen stickering up the bat with some classic Powerspot stickers, which GN conveniently had lying around…Since its retirement,The Powerspot, endorsed by batsman such as Michael Atherton, has gone down as a classic amongst cricket bat fans.

Could this mean the legendary Powerspot is due for a release next year? What do you think? Which batsman would be capable of endorsing this legendary bat?

  1. I use my dad’s old Powerspot when I bat, just with the toe chopped off and an inch off the edges. It’s brilliant!
