In November last year, GM’s Managing Director, Peter Wright visited the GM Australia distributor and discussed the possibility of designing a new GM bat made exclusively for the fast and bouncy Australian pitches and weather conditions.

Three months later and after extensive consultation between Gunn & Moore, Addlon (their distributor) and many key Australian cricket retailers, Cricket Insight can introduce to you the finest English Willow cricket bat, designed specially for Australia.

The subtly different Max-E has big edges but is a lighter weight model compared to the other GM English Willow bats. The Max-E possesses all the common characteristics of a large-width profile (61mm swell) without compromising the ‘pick up’. The higher ‘Sweet Spot’, meanwhile, allows for ferocious power.

The Max-E is a mid-to-top-end bat and will be available from Grade 2 English willow and from Grade 3 (606) in the Junior range. The bat will only be available in the Southern Hemisphere (Aus, NZ and SA) and will be rolled-into stores by early July.

  1. What a weird bat?
    How Much?

  2. i might be wrong, but does the name stand for maximum edge? looks a bit too much like the apex for my liking…

  3. could do but gm is best brand as has ideas all over the place i am sponsored by them and use the icon dxm original and it is amazing that is the bat you would want to get. has a big middle that flies of the bat and most shots I hit go for four.

  4. alright not the best bat I’ve ever seen

  5. will these bats be avaliable in the uk
