The Gunn & Moore 2013 range was launched to retailers on Wednesday, but the public will have to wait for photos. Gunn & Moore have asked for no photos to be released until their new 2013 website is live. For those interested though here’s a quick rundown on the bat range.

Zona

The Zona is new for 2013 . The Zona has a freak, Laver & Wood Ultra type profile with a huge middle – this combined with a GM’s F2 face face (2mm of curve, compared to the standard F7 at 7mm) gives it massive edges and makes it one of the biggest GM profiles on the market. The stickers on this range are also unlike any of the other in the GM line up, and give a feel similar to the likes of SS with huge logos covering the whole face of the bat.

Octane

The Octane like the Zona has the F2 flat face meaning bigger edges and more wood on the bat. The middle on this is low, and overall is probably the most substantial of the GM range. The decals are very similar to the Australian Max-E.

Argon

The only one with released photos. The Argon is GM’s lightweight offering and features a super-thin handle, to reduce weight. It is available in F2 and F7 options. And combines a low swell position with extended sweet spot and a slightly concaved back profile.

Epic

The Epic and Icon remain in the GM line up for 2013. The Icon will also feature the F2 & F7 options, and has slightly updated graphics

  1. can’t believe the epic has been ditched and the halo kept. Most people thought the epic was a great shape, though I guess with all these low middle bats it’s got squeezed out. Still no distinction style bat or retro bat – missed opportunity or what. What about the Flare, what does Watson use now?

  2. lol – you’ve changed the article. Now they are keeping the Epic , not the Halo.

  3. [...] so here is the GM 2013 BAT RANGE ..the ARGON, ZONA and OCTANE. ZONA is really very different from their previous bats, though the [...]

  4. The Halo is being discontinued. The range will be: Epic and Icon in F7 profile. Then the F2 bats will be : Argon, Octane, Zona and Icon F2. The ‘retro’ offering remains the 1885. Shane Watson’s Players Addition bat remains available with Halo livery. The other player’s edition bats like the Ross Taylor and Graeme Smith still remain with the Jonathan Trott no longer appearing in the range.
